These are designed to prevent rocks breaking off on a slope. A series of 3 strand steel rope panels is placed on the slope and anchored to the ground via steel bars placed at the corners of the panel. It is used principally on slopes where the loose rocks have a volume greater than
0.5m3 and a high degree of restraint and safety must be guaranteed. If necessary the level of restraint of the system can be increased by harnessing the unstable surface with 3 strand steel ropes positioned to form a rhomboid retaining mesh.
